Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, also known as TJMM, is a romantic comedy film directed by Luv Ranjan and written by Rahul Mody and Luv Ranjan. The film tells the story of Rohan" Mickey" Arora, son of a rich Punjabi business mogul, who intimately works as a break- up adviser with his friend, Manu Dabbas, in Delhi. They go to Spain for Manu's bachelorette party, where Mickey falls in love with Kinchi's stylish friend, Nisha" Tinni" Malhotra. After returning, Manu and Kinchi get wedded, while Mickey and Tinni introduce each other to their individual families. Both families accept their relationship and start preparing for their marriage.
Nevertheless, Tinni changes her mind and decides to break up with Mickey. She connections the breakup adviser on the phone, ignorant that it's Mickey, and asks for help in breaking up with him.
Mickey suggests a plan where they match their horoscopes and call off the marriage if they do not align. But, their horoscopes align impeccably, and the plan fails. Mickey soon discovers that Tinni is the customer and decides to play on and beat Tinni at her own game. He suggests Tinni to do a" covetousness test," and also a" fidelity test," but Mickey remains pious to her, failing the plan.
Ultimately, Tinni reveals that she doesn't want to live with Mickey's family after marriage and wants to live singly. Mickey doesn't want to leave his family for her, and they break off the engagement. latterly, they meet again at Kinchi's baby shower, and Tinni realizes the value of living together as a family. She discovers that Mickey was the break- up adviser and confronts him. still, the movie ends without revealing if they attune their differences.
Despite entering mixed reviews from critics, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar was a marketable success, grossing over ₹215.81 crore worldwide. The film was praised for its performances, particularly by Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, as well as its facetious conversations and catchy music.
